THE VENUE
On October 10, 2019, Ibagué fulfilled one of its sports dreams: Having a skate track that was one of the best in the country. Several years went by for its construction and official release to the sports community and the Tolima skating family.
The municipal Skating Track of Ibagué became the ideal space for high-competition skating, since its trendy and modern design, with the ideal space for international events. There are few, who have the peraltada track and the road circuit in the same place.

The 200 meters track has the specifications required by the World Skate to be homologated as an international stage and for the World Championships it will receive the Vesmaco coating, which will grant it international recognition by the highest skating entity in the world.
The 400 meters road has a straight of 110mts, two curves of 180º, which makes it one of the most technical on the continent. Its coating in Vesmaco provides the ideal grip conditions for skaters, as well as the safety conditions for bad weather.
The skating track is located in the Municipal Sports Park of Ibagué, 12 minutes near from the city center in the middle of nature and surrou nded by other sports scenarios, such as the athletics stadium and football fields. Its entrance is wide and offers more than 500 parking spaces for vehicles.
Its stands have capacity for at least 600 spectators, but has spaces for mobile grandstands, as well as bathroom batteries, gym, cafeterias, press area, heating area, offices and LED lighting that contributes to the conservation of the environment through effective energy savings.
The skating track of Ibagué recived the last February the Pan American Clubs and Nations Championship, which had 1500 athletes from 17 countries of the Americas, a challenge that confirmed the benefits of the stage that now will dress up to proudly receive the World Championships.
